Joss Stone's guitar player was laying down some serious funk on his Anderson tonight.

Vlad the Impaler- he stuck that guitar right through that girl! Look at her wincing in pain!

History lesson - Prince Vlad III Dracula was known as Vlad Tepes, or "Vlad the Impaler." The Turks called him Kaziglu Bey, or "the Impaler Prince."

With tone and oneness, Mike.

She ripped off the White Stripes and made them easy listening.

She is a teenager from England who has some serious blues rock pipes. IMHO kind of a Janis Joplin vibe with a little Eryka Badhu throw in. Her first single is a little more pop jazz than what she is capable of. I saw her sing with Gladys Knight on a VH1 show and she more than held her own.

I see. Thanks for the info. BTW-It the guitarist sitting down or is he holding the TAG kinda high and geeky?

Excitement for me is finding out this guitar player’s name and his playing background. Tombo, if you need a bit of revving up how about some doing some research and then reporting back to the whole class with your findings? And make it exciting.

Here's to all the high & geeky guys!

P.S. This forum is in dire straights. We need some excitement Andy fans. I can't believe I responded to a post about strap length. Hey, at least I didn't post about what kind of strings I use for the 20th time or pester ad nauseum about the new Anderson model.

Okay, I admit it-I like it high and geeky, but not THAT high and geeky! I wish I were cool like Slash and Page, but I already have a form of carpal tunnel-that kind of low and cool stuff would kill me!

I do the "high and geeky"-it's a jazz/funk thang ;)

It does guarantee no belt buckle marks on my guitars :)

Hellooooo Tombo,

Thanks for the info thus far. Yes, that was exciting—exciting except for one thing—that is not Earl? It would be far more exciting to find out who this masked man really is. All of us are waiting with baited breath to discover who he is. (See what happens when you ask for excitement.)

So, Tombo, raise you right hand. I’m going to have to deputize your as the new Excitement Sheriff of the Anderson Forum for the rest of the month. You can do it! As Sheriff, you can enlist the help of others as you see fit to build excitement. Feel free to create a virtual posse of musical researchers scouring the Internet for happy musical information as to the identity of the afore mentioned Anderson Guitar Player.

Tombo, we are counting on you now. Mount up, grab your own Anderson for company and ride off into the sunset in search of answers. May the force be with you and we look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Okay, I've taken the Roy (maybe) challenge. Scouring the web, I've found the following info on the pictured guitarist (this is from the Joss Stone unofficial website): His name is Miguel "Sam" de Rocha. Originally from Madrid, Sam started his career playing in cover bands at several notable clubs in Santo Colombo city which is on the southern coast of Spain. After several failed attempts to start an original funk band, Sam moved to London, England where his claim to fame was being the guitar tech for Jeff Beck in the mid to late 90's. He also filled in as lead guitarist for the 80's new wave band New Order when guitarist Bernard Summer broke his hand prior to the 1999 European reunion tour. He has subsequently been a somewhat popular session player in England and has been rumoured to have played "ghost" guitar parts for U2, Neil Finn, and Jet. He got the Joss Stone gig apparently because of his Jeff Beck connection. The website I got this info. from is: www.the unofficialjossstoneboguswebsite.com -there you go Roy, you wanted the info., I got it, so what's the prize?

Too true-we don't need another "Pearl Harbor"-that movie with Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale was absolutely horrible. :D

I hope not or I might just have to bust out my Flintones' "Judo-chop-chop" moves!:D (BTW-I always wondered why Fred and Barney said "judo chop chop" as opposed to "karate chop chop" in that infamous spy episode). Well, back to the dojo where Jyuu-Dan Pat Morita Sensei is going to make me catch more flies with o-hashi while sitting suware style on the tatami mats!

Roy (maybe), I'm flattered but I cannot take credit for the intensive research it took to discover the information you sought. For it was Opel, the leader of the supernatural that uses his mental telepathy powers to infiltrate the dot com universe and communicate with the almighty GAT SELUR (the gatekeeper to knowledge) who must be credited. Opel, the investigator of truth, the creator of DVDs, and by the way, a big fan of Anderson guitars, has with much humility, informed me via the computer monitor he cannot accept your generous offer of a free t-shirt for the every being whether it be in the normal or paranormal world already knows of his allegiance to Anderson guitars due to the fact he already owns 7 Anderson t-shirts. While he appreciates your kindness, he feels the t-shirt should be provided to Stan Malinowski, the guardian of the Anderson Forum, whose work in creating and maintaining this forum must not be overlooked. Stan, it's yours bud, and don't worry about the Opel thingy-don't ask-but it's work related content.

Hi,

Very nice Pluto.

Okay, Stan gets the “King’s” T-shirt. Stan, if you are reading, call and we will make arrangements to ship you the very first all-Plutonian Anderson T-shirts, compliments of the “Research King,” and motivated into action by the Anderson Excitement Sheriff, of course.

Where else can you find this kind of excitement and still be surrounded by the world’s best guitars and the nicest people to ever form a chat room?
