Here's a photo of my new Firemist Gold Cobra S. This is a very though color to capture with my camera for some reason.

The guitar has a powerful lower mid punch even for a Cobra. I also paid a little extra for the 1 5/8" nut width, very comfy for me. The neck is very, very close to my Classic with the Pete Anderson neck.

I have two keepers now! I'm sold on the M pickups.

:D

Man, that looks sweet! Love the goldtops. The M's are great too. After I heard them I had to have a Anderson with M's!

Thanks guys! AG, I can try to get a photo in some different lighting if you need help picking a color for your new one.

Looks really nice Brian. Though the Gold looks more like LP Goldtop to me, than Firemist Gold.

Is the neck rosewood, or is it painted?

gold tops are a green gold, this is definitly a redder gold. gold tops are also a finer metallic.

I was wondering the same thing. It looks painted though.

The neck is painted to match the back of the body but satin. The lighting wasn't ideal for capturing the gold finish. It is definetly Firemist Gold and nothing like a gold top Gibson. I'll have to try again in some different lighting.

Congratulations Brian,

I hope my next one will be M pickups, but meanwhile I'm very happy with your ex-TA classic.

I really gotta check out the M's....

All the raving about the M's really wore me down...yesterday I placed my order for a new HDTC with a M1/M1/M2 pickup combination. Should see it in February.

Brian,
Congrats on your new baby, it looks killer and I know how great it sounds. Play it in good health.
