My Cobra S has chrome, standard non-locking Grover tuning machines. They look like the Mini Rotomatics to me (Grover# 205C6??).

Will the newer Grover mini locking tuners (Grover# 406C6? Stew-Mac# 0876 >found here< (http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Guitar,_solid_peghead/Grover_Mini_Rotomatics.html) ) fit as direct replacements?

I don't like the older style Grover locking tuners, and really love the (Gotoh?) locking machines on my TA Classic.

Any tips?

Thanks guys! :D

It might be best to order a set of tuners directly from TAG. I think you want the style which are used on Cobras equipped with a trem which I believe are locking. I think they may be same tuners that are used on Classic & DTs with vintage trems.

all our tuners are gotoh these days. the new grover is not a direct replacement for the older ones. the new ones are bigger and have the mounting hole in a different location. the gotoh's also have the screw in a diffrent location.
