There may be some structural differences compared to the Thorn, but GMP did an "inlay" top in the mid-90s. Not sure if they still make that model, but I remember seeing them at NAMM around '95-'96. I think I may even have a GMP catalog showing those guitars in my archives. Not to minimize Thorn's work, of course. Nice-looking stuff.
