anyone else notice this? (Anderson SA pickups)

regarding the p'ups on my new Hollow T DT.... after a few weeks of playing the SA pickups are no longer black around the edges, the edges now look rounded and have faded to a lighter gray colour (presumably due to friction and sweat etc)....is this normal with the Anderson p'ups?

they are made of a vulcaized fiber and they get black when they are soaked in wax. they can dry out from sweat. wipe them with any light oil and the color will come back.
