Hey Tom are you going the two spring trem route or is it still three in the “v”?
I’ve changed a stock “three” spring trem setup strung with .010-.046 to a “two” spring setup. They are a red set with more tension. It allows for the spring claw to be further away from the rear route.
Any negatives going with only two? Thanks!!
i use two on all my guitars, short and long scale. i enjoy the softer feel and have been floating more lately as well. the springs stretched more makes the tension feel more the same through the range of motion. with more springs, the springs are more collapsed so it takes more to stretch them all, and the farther you get from home, the stiffer the arm feels.

Thanks! I take it you’re using normal tension springs and not these noiseless/higher tension springs.
correct. when the springs are spread open more they are quieter. the coils never collapse on each other.
