Couldn't help noticing that NAMM Bobcat had four knobs and a traditional pickup selector location. Think the lawyers will give it a pass, Tom?

yeah, they don't actually own that. they do seem to be on the warpath again, have heard from a few people that they have been given cease and desist orders both on lp and 335 style guitars.

So if it is not the 4 knob single cut with a 3x3 headstock what is it that they own/ can go after?

they have a trademark on the LP body shape only. from what i hear from others they are still on the warpath on that.

Interesting. I made a comment on the gear page about wondering if Gibson will be going after Suhr for the Aura and John Suhr said that Gibson has changed and also that they had consulted their lawyers before deciding to do it.
