Something really special happened in the last week that I wanted to share.
Monday the 13th was my 50th birthday but that's not what was special.......
I've played the LAST gig of my 30's, the FIRST gig of my 40's, the LAST gig of my 40's and last night I played the FIRST gig of my 50's , all on my Drop Top.
I'm hoping I'll still have enough hearing to continue to celebrate the next decade's gigs in the same way.

This guitar is truly special.
Thank you Tom for the memories.

Was your drop top the one with a forest green quilt top? I saw it on the Facebook TAG Appreciation Group and it looked amazing.

I hope to follow your lead except for +10 years. I got my hollow drop top in 2003. I was 43 at the time. I can see 60 coming up, and hope I am still gigging. Thanks for the picture. That top is something!

They used to offer an option called ''personal choice'' or something like that, you paid extra and Tom would pick out a top based on your wish list. I paid £500 extra and that top is the result.
I think he made a great choice. 😊

DT is the number one for me too! I started in 2004 with a used DT Honney burst SSH, In 09 i ordered a new one and changed some things to suit me even better! I am never selling this! last summer i sold my first DT and bought a HSTC, Verry fun but DT is my number one still! :-)

I love my Drop Top! It will always hold a special place in my heart as it was my very first custom ordered guitar of every kind. It also marked the moment in time where I only play Anderson guitars as well. I fell in love with it from the very beginning.
