Difference in drop versus non is fancy top versus pickguard, correct?

So what is the short and non?

drop anything is a bent top. anything with classic in the name has a pg.

so drop top=fancy top, no pg

drop top classic=fancy top w/ pg.

the classic=no top w/pg

Thanks Tom!

What about a Mongrel versus Short Mongrel (for example)?

mongrel by nature has a pg but i guess it's the exception to the "classic" rule. Al mongrels have a pg, drop or not. it's basicly a T with an S style pg.

Shorty are Gibson scale length. Cobra's and Bobcat's (Bulldogs) only come in that scale so they don't have shorty in their name/ spec sheet

...anything with classic in the name has a pg...

So that makes mine an exception.

Note that "Top" vs "No Top" does make a sonic difference.
