Are we allowed to ask what guitar or guitars Tom Anderson is playing currently? Model, woods, scale, pickups?

Sometimes he mentions what he is playing. He is often trying out new stuff like a bamboo neck a few years ago. Always fun to hear what he is using at the moment

Tom,

What does "pu's a lot" mean?

Please forgive if it has been asked before. What is it about the PQ/PH tone wise that has made you settle on them?

That was surely a typo. He meant PQ or PH. He always raves about those pups. I have a PH1- and it is def a cool pup

yes, sorry, ph's or pq's. i love that they're big but still have an edge to the high end. it's not the same the high end of a fender style single coil, which doesn't work as well for me and my rig. they also respond so well to the guitar volume control that i'm doing less pedal messing with than in a long time.

Do the Parallel sounds in a PPP configuration (fender switch position 2 & 4) still work (by that I mean sound different and good) in either a 25.5" or 24.75" scale guitars? I wonder because the pickups are physically wider and I do not have a sense of how that wider pickup effect the spacing physic of the Parallel sounds or if the wider area of the pickup that senses the string effect the Parallel sounds.

Also, are the cut switches on the Raven for each pickup a Series and Parallel mode for each set of sideways coils that make up a PQ pickup?

I wonder why he replaced the PHs (or PQs) in his Drop Top Ts with the Alnico V Duncan Antiquities?

He definitely has awesome tone, but I suspect it would have been just as awesome with Anderson P90 pickups.

He messes around. I have seen that guitar with other pickups in it too and I believe his original pups were cream so in the other videos who knows they might be PQs
