Playing around with the new spec sheet. Couple questions / observations...

For body wood selection on say a Drop Top... What does dark maple on alder look like?

And I see a VA7.2 pickup selection... Hotter version of the VA7?

It is not just showing under the superbird. Showed up for me on a classic T spec. Maybe Toms answer to CITES :D

ok, dark maple is a limited batch of wood we got that is curly maple with extreme color variation, it almost looks like koa with heart and sapwood showing.

va7.2 is a little hooter a little fuller mid version of va7's.

ziricote is a wood we have been playing with for a while. it is not on the cites list, but is also not super available in quantity, so it can not replace rosewood, but it may be an alternative for international orders for a time. it's really beautiful and can have the desert prairie looks much of the time.

Dark maple sounds pretty neat. I love Spalted maple but that is another topic

I like the hotter VA7 idea. Looked up Ziricote and it's pretty interesting looking. Sounds like it leans in an ebony direction.

we were afraid it would sound too much like ebony, but it didn't have any of the brittle top end i hear in ebony.
