I absolutely adore my Goldtop Anderson Bulldog and have been looking for another one since they were discontinued over a year ago. Most of them seem to be built with Tom's Happy Medium neck shape. I had an Anderson with the Happy Medium before and it would hurt my thumb joint here and there. I love his Even Taper neck shape and finally found one a used one with that neck shape that is in perfect condition. The pickups are great but I have some ideas on something else (thinking about the Suhr Thornbucker set or going with Tom's H3 and H1). It plays like butter!!! So happy to have another. This one will be setup for Eb and my Goldtop will stay in standard.
Just wanted to share my NAD. I'll make a video soon!

Pure class~
Are those HC1/HC2 in there?
Thornbuckers=PAF style, those in the piano-blackish Suhr Custom Standard shown in the thornbucker official vid. I think the closest TAGpups are HC1-/HC1+. In one of Pete's videos he mentions that in his LP he uses thornbuckers that are slightly hotter than the regular set, hence I think if you are going for that as reference HC1/HC2 could already be the closest.:p Not sure about actual dc resistance differences between these pickups though, and construction.
Also...one guitar per tuning? That is so rad! Jk;)

Thanks guys!
The current pickups are the HC3 and HC1. They sound great but I want a little more of a balanced bottom end. These are super focused in the mids which are great. I just want a little more low end. I love TAG pickups and my favorite set are the H3 and H1 which I have in my other Bulldog and Pro Am. I just want a little different flavor. I hate to even admit this but the only reason I am looking at the other brands is I like the more traditional look of the covers than the HC. I know that is probably a little silly and no disrespect is intended. TBH, I just wish the H pickups were available in white or cream. I wouldn't even look elsewhere. Aside from all of that...the Bulldog just flat out rocks. I am so thankful to won two of them. I have 6 TAGs and I love each of them. Thanks so much Tom and team!!!

Very nice. I have a buddy hunting for one with trem (not a fr) over the course of this year I would send him every one I saw with trem and he passed. Not Gas hit him and they are less out there

A bulldog with vintage trem would be very sweet. Do you all prefer hunting down bulldogs over breeding bobcats?:D

Price difference is pretty big. For me personally I would take either or. I would like a bull dog for the traditional LP control layers out but I would have no problem rocking a Bobcat. I personal like the stop tail

Thanks Markus! Haven't heard from you in a while. What are you up to? How many TAGs do you have at this point? Good to see you around. I'll let you know next time I'm in San Fran. Would love to get together for lunch or dinner.

Hey Chad! Yes, I haven't been all that active on here lately. Sorry! Lots of work these days and less time playing...
I sold some TAGs so I'm "only" at 11 now. And yes, definitely let me know when you're in San Francisco next! Would love to get together!!!
