Hi all, I'm thinking of trading a 2006 hollow T locally for an older Anderson classic from 1993, as I could really use an S style guitar with trem. I've not played any older Anderson guitars, and wondered how they compare to the more current models? This one has the SL pickups, which I've heard can be a bit more scooped in the mids. Just wondering if you guys have opinions or own any older Anderson guitars and could chime in.
Thanks,
Kurt

They've definitely improved as the years have gone by such as the 2 bolt neck and SS frets that you're used to.

Definitely try it out first to see if you like it better.

I had a wonderful Honneyburst Drop Top from 1997. i bought i bought it 2004 traded it for a HST, because i ordered a brand new DT in 2009, It was realy a nice guitar. it had SD pickups and H2+ in bridge. It was also equiped with a Fishmanbridge. Nice build quality, the paint was wery nice and the Maple top was very beutiful!

Mine does have the SS frets but not the two bolt, so that'd be the same. Would you guys compare the two guitars as far as value? I asked for a bit of cash to equal my guitar, but wondering how close they'd be,
Kurt

My first anderson was 1998 Hollow Classic. I love the guitar so much that I sent it back to Anderson and had it regretted with stainless and made a pickup swap. The guitar plays amazing and has not had another set up in 7+ years. I play it every day and will likely never part with my first love. The 4 bolt neck guitars do play and sound different from the new ones but in a very appealing way. It does not feel like I wished I had newer Wedgie Neck TA's to play. I also own 8 other Andersons anyway. 1057

What do you feel is the difference from 4bolt to 2bolt? I have had both, but I did not feel anything special. Characteristics was different because of tonewoods and pickups i Think, but maby it was bigger difference than I felt.. Its a lot sleekyer to reach the highnotes frets! I have 2bolt on both my DT and HST
