Let's talk about... Black hardware

I've never owned a guitar with black hardware. Never tripped my trigger. But the pics of this guitar...

Really knock me out. Maybe I need to rethink that option. What do you guys think? Anyone with experience? How does it hold up over time?

I upgraded the trem on my Drop Top to the new Gold version a year ago.
Tom told me that the current gold saddles are brass, which I didn't want so I settled for black saddles instead.
The contrast looks really good, black saddles on gold plate.
They've done over 100 gigs so far and the finish is still perfect.

I've ordered black hardware on my current special order Classic.

I'm pretty sure I played that guitar. Is it from World Guitars in the UK ?
If so its spectacular, I tried all his Andersons plus a few other makes and that particular guitar felt and sounded really special.
I couldn't afford it so went ahead with my custom order but with similar specs.

They had to forcibly remove the guitar from my hands.
It has a swamp ash back with maple top, which you'd expect to be bright but it was beautifully balanced.
Superb guitar.

Not in the UK. I dig thru dealer sites looking for ideas a lot. For whatever reason some of the dealers outside the US seem to come up with more interesting combinations. Spurs my imagination.

Fair enough. Based on my experience with the black saddles, I was confident ordering black hardware.

I'm toying with specs for an order for sometime next year. Cobra Special, Dark Cherry Metallic, matching headstock, black hardware, HC pickups with raw nickel covers and no pickup rings. That would be unique. World Guitars had a pic of another guitar with a bridge HC with a raw nickel cover and no pickup ring. Caught my eye.
