I have an old Classic from '96 that I bought used (probably 3rd or 4th hand at this point)
Love this guitar but the previous owners have roughed the poor thing up quite a bit! The heel truss rod adjusting screw suffered some pretty heavy damage, the philips head groove is damaged to the point of basically being a rhombus, making adjusting nearly impossible.... Not to mention the paint was all chipped off too.. gahh!
So I was wondering.. if it's possible to retro fit a spoke wheel nut to the truss rod so I can adjust it again... like this: http://s1103.photobucket.com/user/Matt_B-1967/media/guitar_reference/t_rod_mod/t_rod_mod_01_zpse50de959.jpg.html
If not, what can I do to make the truss rod usable?
