My trusty Hollow DT stays in standard tuning. I'm doing a substitute gig at the end of this month and the band tunes down 1/2 step. A lot of the tunes I'm practicing along with are tuned down 1/2 step as well (Van Halen, GnR).
-Do I go to the trouble of having my guitar "set up" for this gig or just tune down when show time comes around.
-If I don't have it "set up" do I tune the old girl down now and leave it or just tune it back up to standard when I'm through with rehearsal, etc.
Is the neck freaking out being yanked back and forth in between the two tunings?
If I'm making too much out of this, tell me and I'll just tune down and get on with it.

All legitimate questions. From my experience (which doesn't mean it's right...):

Basically, I'd just tune down and get on with it. I did the same with my DTC, never had an issue.

More detail: tune down now for a couple of days and just make sure that doing so isn't causing some obvious problem (sloppy feel to the strings, buzzing because you already have super-low action and the tension reduction is a problem, etc), then do what you want between now and then.

I'd just tune it down and go. If you need to, tweak the truss rod a hair. But I wouldn't mess with the bridge at all unless you're planning on staying tuned down.

What type of bridge? You will probably have to adjust springs.
