PQ-Series Pickups into M-Series Pickups cavity?

Are the PQ-Series Pickups a direct replacement for a M-Series Pickups?

If I had an Atom and want to replace two Ms with PQs, would the cavity that houses the Ms fir the PQ without and carving on the wood?
