New Guitar Day - Anderson Classic

I custom ordered this Classic right before the shop flood in late June. Just came in today. I haven't felt this giddy about a new guitar for a long time. I played it for about 2 hours and can't wipe the smile off my face! Perfect as they always are. Just thought I would share! As you can tell...I was inspired by SRV!

Looks like Alder with a chocolate neck and rosewood board ? Am I correct ?
How does it sound ?
That's my plan if I'm able to place an order next year.

Ha! I tried the Happy Medium and it caused pain in the joint between my thumb and palm. I have big hands but the cut wasn't for me. The Even Taper is perfect for my hands. So comfortable!

If you compare that to your others, does the chocolate maple add anything to the tone ?

Honestly...no. There is nothing discernible in regards to tone from my ears. I love the way it looks aesthetically with the color combo and the way it feels. I believe other than the appearance the extra "baking" pulls more moisture out of the neck which gives it more stability (not that a TAG neck needs that). :o Utah has such dramatic changes in humidity that the extra stability couldn't hurt.

When it comes right down to it...I just love the way it looks!

Maybe an ET with some ++ to it or a 60 that is a different curve than the HM. Everyone just make your next tag an experiment and try a beefier neck :D

Any updates on yours? I am curious if you like those SF2 pickups. I was over at the Anderson factory yesterday morning to drop off my Pro Am. Sounded like things are back to normal now.

I checked in about a month ago and it was going in for paint. I remember you mentioning those pickups over the ones I was going to put in it, so I changed the specs. I will let you know and some pictures for the forum too.
