*edit* I have no idea why I have to take a "family portrait" pic every time. Must be the season.
Man, I wish I had shit like this when I was playing for a living!

The amp I want more than any other.

Any posting of tones, reviews, highly welcomed....

BTW: Nice geetars.

I've only got around 5 or 6 hours on it and there's still a lot to learn, but so far...it's hard to put a knob wrong. The clean channel is just luxurious...I've never played anything like it. all kinds of tones from warm to icepick and all of them are fun. The reverb is very nice, no complaints there.

I'm having the most fun in the "Loud 69" channel. Dynamics-city! It's just Marshall 4 hole Superlead all day long. The pre-gain EQ even does a good job of mimicking the frequency sweep you get jumping the inputs of a 4 holer and mixing the treble and bass inputs to find the sweet spot. That's how I started - Marshall Superleads...bone stock. Turn it up and work it, and this sounds like the friendliest, quietest Superlead ever.

Then there's the "80's" switch. Gain? Gain, anybody? I've read some things online from people expressing concern about the amount of gain available in these amps...they need to go back to their Peavey Transtube. TON'S of thick, creamy, gooey gain on tap. Then there's the adjustable boost! He he he...

Highly recommended. This thing is FUN!

I just made a couple cables to run my delay in the loop, which can also be set up as a lead volume boost so one button and you have your lead delay and boost. Bogner calls the amp a "guitar system" and I'm beginning to understand that. It's an extremely well thought out amp and it sounds gorgeous! There's also the pre-loop where my tuner and OCD can go. But then you lose the adjustable gain boost function so...

The amp likes both guitars, but it loves Mahogany. I just wish the PRS didn't play like a truck, cause it's sounds terrific. I really need a Cobra S.

I've been gigging 3-4 nights a week for the past yr with mine and love it. What speaker are you using and is it open or closed. Thinking about the matching closed cab. Using an open avatar 2x12 with v30 and et65.

Sorry for taking away attention from the amp, but...

LOL THAT CLASSIC! The white middle pickup makes it look like the whole guitar is just SH instead of SSH from a distance. Now I wanna do that to mine too, hahaha

Did you order it that way?

That's actually an empty cover in the middle position - there's no middle pickup. Middle pickups interfere with my sloppy picking technique and I couldn't drop it far enough into the body to get it out of the way so I pulled it. The center "switcharoo" toggle does nothing at the moment. Eventually that guitar is going to get a new hum/single pickguard and a 3 way blade switch with a mini-switch to select single coil or humbucking for both pickups. Tom? :D

JJ, that's a standard 2x12C. It came with two V30's but I found them kind of sizzly and lacking mids so I swapped one of them for a 65 watt Creamback and that's a lovely combination. Bogner sells closed back cabs with that combo. They call it the Helios 2x12.
I also have an open back 1x12 Tone Tubby cab with a G12H30 in it, and that sounds pretty good too, so that speaker may also be a possibility. It has a little more of that upper-mid "Marshall-esque" ring.

I love that amp! I can't stop playing it!

And so the Goldfinger became a Helios 50, which I like WAY better.

Sweet. What are you liking about it. Can you get good useable cleans and overdrive in a live situation. Being a single channel?

No, not really. In the low gain input you can, but then the high gain sound is compromised.
It sounds terrific and has way more gain than I use (I live in Plexi mode), but it's not a versatile amp. You can get lots of different flavors of Marshall, but nothing in the clean department like my Goldfinger would do.
