Hey Tom,

I just came across this tool on Stew Mac's website: http://www.stewmac.com/Luthier_Tools/Types_of_Tools/Wrenches/Truss_Rod_Crank_for_Tele.html

I've got the older style neck on my HDT with no pickguard and am hoping this tool may eliminate the need to remove the neck when adjusting the rod. I know most can do it with a slotted screwdriver but I'm a chicken!

Spec wise, does this sound feasible??

Thanks!!

it might, but because it is the full width of the nut i think it will hit the body unless the nut is in exactly the right position, which it seldom is.

that's why we recommend the screwdriver blade be only half the width of the nut.
